Andrea Abita, Robbert de Vrieze and I conceptualized Social Microclimates as climate-controlled public spaces that engender joy and community involvement year-round. We designed a catalog of alchemical devices that convert global warming factors into local liveliness - postindustrial boîtes à miracle - as transient monuments to teach us that we are active members in cities.
